Ryan's 6th Birthday

Ryan celebrated his 6th birthday with a lazer tag party at P3 in Savannah.  He had a wonderful time with his family and friends.

Now for Ryan's favorite part...the presents!

Ryan decided that he wanted an aquarium with shark.  We found "Bala Shark" which are closely related to minnows, but have a "shark" fin on their back.  He has enjoyed watching his fish and sharks.  We have enjoyed running back and forth to the store replacing the dead ones before he notices they are gone.

Papa Bear

Andy was able to take a leading role in a play at school last week.  He was "Papa Bear" in the play, "Goldilocks and the 3 Bears."  They performed this play for the younger elementary students at our school.  My usually quiet and reserved Andy really came out of his shell and got into character.  He did a great Papa Bear voice, and I enjoyed seeing him, and all the others, perform.

Somone's been eating my porridge!

He tossed his hat to his fans at the end of the play.

They did an exceptional job!

Community Helpers

Ryan's Kindergarten class recently had community helper week.  This was a time when parents could come in the class and talk to the students about their occupations. On Ryan's birthday, Kevin was able to come to school and talk about cars.  He hooked up some invention (as only Kevin could do) which allowed students to turn a key and watch the starter.  The kids really enjoyed learning all about cars, and Kevin really enjoyed getting to meet all of the students.

Ryan was so excited to have his daddy in his classroom.

Kevin brought all of the students a hot wheel car to remind them of what they had learned.  It didn't go over so well with the girls, but the boys loved them.

Shiloh Park

We decided to celebrate Ryan's baptism by taking a picnic lunch to Shiloh Park.  Picnics are one of my favorite things.  To be able to combine that with all the history in Shiloh Park and my sweet family makes for a wonderful day!  I slaved for hours at the drive-thru window so that we could have my secret recipe (which also happens to be the colonel's secret recipe).  We had a special guest, Kaylee, join us.  We made sure to embarrass both Hunter and Kaylee by taking lots of pictures.

Aren't they adorable?

We played a little football...

We checked out some historical monuments...

A picture is worth a thousand words

Kevin looks a little like the "Thinker"

Yes, I do believe I see some resemblance.

We enjoyed the peacefulness of the water...

The Bloody Pond

We hiked the trails to see the Indian mounds.

Andy could barely make it

And, of course, we stopped to take a few more pictures!

(Psa 118:24 KJV) This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

Ryan's Baptism

Ryan was baptized by Pastor Dennis Smith on September 12, 2010 at First Baptist Church in Corinth.
Bro. Dennis had prayer with Ryan rightt before the service.

Me and my little man

Kevin waited on one side with him; I waited on the other.

He was just a little nervous!

Notice the stool he is standing on...he was a little too short to see over.

Prayer

This is the picture Ryan calls "New Ryan"

We are so proud of Ryan and his decision to follow Christ.  I pray that his heart is always tender and his faith is always strong.

Disney 2010

We finally made it to Disneyworld this summer.  It was our first visit, and we were all so excited to arrive in Florida.  It was HOT (95+ temps most every day) the entire week, but we still managed to have the best time ever. We visited Animal Kingdom, Magic Kingdom, Epcot, and Hollywood Studios.  Our favorite rides were Everest, Soarin, Buzz Lightyear, Splash Mountain, and Rockn Rollercoaster.

We stayed at Port Orleans Riverside.

Meeting the characters

I absolutely love Donald Duck!

I tried to talk Kevin into buying this for me...no luck!

We ate at Teppan Edos in Japan (Epcot).  This was our favorite meal.  The chef cooked the meal at our table and did all types of tricks, including tossing a shrimp into his hat.  Very entertaining and excellent food!

Ryan did not want to get too close...Andy did not mind at all!

They were so happy to find a cool place that they didn't want to leave.
Ryan finally got to meet his hero!
A replica of the Swiss Family Robinson treehouse.  I loved this!
We visited the Pirate's Lair where all of the boys were transformed into Jack Sparrow.
While Hunter and Andy laughed through this activity, Ryan took his oath to be a pirate VERY seriously.  Check out this face.
He can't wait to show those teeth to Dr. McQueen

As we were leaving a skywriter left a very special message for us..
I had to take 2 pictures because I couldn't zoom out far enough

We had a wonderful time, made some very special memories, and can't wait to visit again!
